《走进这片海》是一部海洋文化纪录片，节目特邀诺贝尔文学奖得主莫言题写片头，由广东省作家协会主席谢有顺担任总策划，并邀请刘亮程、麦家、于坚、李修文、许知远等知名作家参与录制。拍摄期间，作家们分赴福建沿海各地，围绕海洋历史、渔业生产、民间信仰、海岛生活、海洋饮食等主题，深入渔村、码头、海岛及各类民俗场所，以文学视角观察并呈现福建海洋文化的多元面貌。
