　　对于马鲁格（奥利弗· 李多度 Oliver Litondo 饰）来说，学习是一生中最让他感到幸福的事情，然而，已经84岁高龄的他再也不可能重温曾经课堂上的快乐时光了。肯尼亚推行的免费教育政策让马鲁格看到了新的希望，他希望能够成为众多受益的学生中的一员。
　　马鲁格的执着和热情感动了 教师珍（娜奥米·哈里斯 Naomie Harris 饰）却没能感动校方人员和广大家长，对于这样一个退役军人在一群小孩子的包围下重返课堂，反对的呼声统一而响亮。与此同时，珍也因为自己支持马鲁格的行为而受到了惩罚。看到帮助自己的善良人遭受了不公平的待遇，愤怒的马鲁格决定绝不屈服，他要向刻板的政府提出挑战。

　　民国时期，上海滩富豪公子郁成业在新婚之夜中毒死于新房。牵扯进案件的是一对亲生姐妹，孟小梦和孟小路。孟小梦（杨紫婷 饰）和孟小路（孙文婷 饰）从小父母双亡，二人流落街头被祝家富商收做丫鬟，然而祝家父子心怀不轨，借机凌辱了孟小梦，孟小梦对男人深恶痛绝，开始对妹妹小路产生不伦情感。祝家父子对小路下手，小 梦刺伤二人，带小路逃离，失散。
　　数年后孟小梦化名白梦，成为著名歌手，随即再遇将要结婚的孟小路，对妹妹的特殊感情，让她不相信妹妹的未婚夫郁成业，决定用自己做诱饵让妹妹知道世上没有好男人，她成功了，也失败了，郁成业陷入情网，孟小梦也同样爱上郁成业。二人不能结合，郁成业和小路结婚当夜，为了证明爱情，自杀而死。三人纠缠的孽缘以悲剧收尾。

Fog follows Wai through Hong Kong, itself at a historical crossroads and in search of a new identity, as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery and redemption.

　　When a series of package bombs show up on the doorsteps of prominent politicians and businessmen in the summer of 1919, U.S. Bureau of Investigation Agent William Flynn (Strathairn) is assigned the task of finding those responsible. He becomes immersed in an investigation that uncovers an anarchist plot to destroy democracy. Inspired by true events of the 20s the film sets the stage for a timely thriller with resoundingly similar parallels to the contemporary war on terrorism and the role government plays to defeat it.
