Buster Keaton and Virginia Fox play young lovers who live in tenements, the rear of which face each other, with backyards separated by a wooden fence. Their families feud over the lovers' relationship, resulting in much mayhem and slapstick. The Romeo and Juliet story played out in a tenement neighborhood with Buster and Virginia's families hating each other over the fence separating their buildings.
抗日战争时期，日方搜刮中国大批文物，而这批文物的藏宝图胶片被台湾间谍“宝岛七十二号”（叶子楣 饰）得到，日本间谍猪木（葛民辉 饰）与马场（林海峰 饰）赶赴香港，将七十二号击伤，谁知却惊动了正在表演的一支女子乐队，七十二号在临死前将胶片藏在乐队经理人Trccy（泰迪罗宾 饰）的车上，Trccy报警得以结识女警阿芝（利智 饰）。日本方面怀疑Tcrry亦为间谍，派出猪木马场全天候跟踪调查，与此同时，台湾政府的间谍首领“宝岛一号”（胡慧中 饰）向Trccy说明情况，然而此时Trccy并不知七十二号将胶片藏在何处。阿芝受警方委派，为Tcrry提供贴身保护，令后者心花怒放，而阿芝的真实身份是日本间谍“北海道一号”，群谍现身，最后赢家是谁？

Joseph Fulton, a well-regarded fifty-eight-year-old director of romantic comedies, wants to become assistant groundskeeper at a local cemetery. He wants to work outdoors and be close to nature. Meanwhile, he thinks it’s important to have his last will and testament drawn up. But his highly dramatic actress girlfriend thinks he must be dying and that he is just too brave to tell anyone. The rumor spreads and soon everyone he knows—and some he doesn’t—are crowded into his small apartment to say their last farewells.
阿广和阿明在中国一农村长大，两人非常友好，更一起逃到香港，希望寻找金钱梦。然而到香港之后，他俩才发觉困难重重，又尝尽了人情冷暖，闹出不少笑话。此时，香港有位超级巨星，长相和阿广一模一样，在影片拍摄中途，因为做了一个危险动作而身亡，电影公司便找阿广作巨星的替身，他们因而转运。在阿广代替巨星时，他开始明白财富并不等于快乐，而且财富令他非常空虚。不过，阿明却用尽他的新身份和金钱去享受和花天酒地，于是两位好友产生了很多矛盾。最后，阿明知道阿广要重覆巨星身亡时所拍摄的镜头，阿明立即赶去告知阿广，但已经太迟。幸好阿广大难不死，最后两位好友重拾友谊，而且更知道香港不是久留之地。
