富士山下的小村庄正在进行热闹的祭典，突如其来的山火却让人们陷入恐慌之中，而天文学家白石良一（平田昭彦 饰）则在混乱中失踪。不久，当地发生滑坡、天坑等离奇事件，更有一个巨大、恐怖的机器人出现，对周遭城镇进行大肆破坏。白石的朋友渥美让治（佐原健二 饰）和安达谦治郎博士（志村喬 饰）随同军队前往当地调查，意外遭遇外星人的球形基地，并受到对方的邀请。外星人声称很久以前他们的星球因核战而毁灭，幸存者在宇宙间流浪寻找合适的栖息地。他们希望地球人开辟半径为3公里的土地给外星人居住，并准许他们和地球的女性通婚。人类对此表示拒绝，并组成地球防卫军和星外来客展开对抗…… 本片为东宝首部采用宽银幕的特摄作品。
《妈妈别哭》是继《熔炉》之后又一部韩国现实主义力作，入围了第17届釜山电影节的广阔镜单元。 本片改编自现实中“得知女儿因为被男学生们强暴而自杀的妈妈亲自为女儿报复”的残忍故事。 刚和丈夫离婚准备重新出发的刘琳（柳善 饰）在告别不幸婚姻后原本打算带着刚升为高中生的唯一女儿 柳银雅（南宝拉 饰）重新开始。两人相依为命过着简单平静的生活。但不幸从天而降，银雅竟然选择在自己生日的那天自杀，这也摧毁了刘琳最后的精神支柱。某天，她通过银雅的同学赵翰（申东浩 饰）知道了女儿惨死的真相：在学校遭到多名男同学的强奸，加害者却因未成年人的身份免于受到处罚，对这一结果无法承受的银雅选择了自杀。此后，刘琳受到了前所未有的打击，再不相信法律的她决定无论用何种方法，自己来帮女儿报这个仇，并驱使着她一步步走向无法挽回的结局......
The film tells of how street sweeper Alonso (played by Roberto Álamo) and tarot reader Marisa (Malena Alterio), the proprietors of a delicatessen Torres and Fátima (Jordi Sánchez and María Botto), plastic surgeon Calatrava (Julián López) and influencer Vicky (Kira Miró) have booked a house in the middle of nowhere on the Canary Islands, where they hope to spend the best holidays of their lives with their respective broods. What they don’t know is that, because of a mistake made by the travel agency they used, they have all rented the same house. And none of them is willing to back out, although there is not much of an alternative anyway, which means that they will be forced to share the same living space for the whole of the summer. The glaring differences between each and every one of the occupants will turn these days into a chaotic series of entertaining and messed-up situations. Despite this whole disaster, they have to learn how to live together and how to understand all of these wildly different people – and, above all else, themselves.
