　　这部全新“星战”动画系列《星球大战：反叛军》的故事发生在介于《星战》第三章和第四章之间（摧毁最后的绝地武士的帝国反击战）的纪元。而《星球大战：克隆战争》动画系列片导演戴夫·费罗尼将出任这部全新动画系列的监制。片中的艺术概念则将采用曾为“星战”系列电影设计过经典角色和场景的 已故科幻大师拉尔夫·麦考瑞的作品。
　　《星球大战：反叛军》将延续星球大战冒险史诗的传统。这是银河系的黑暗时刻，邪恶的银河帝国以铁血统治占领了一个偏远的星球并行使种种破坏其人民生活的恶行，但有一群人勇敢地站起来反抗。这一群人将面临威胁恶棍的威胁，经历惊心动魄的冒险，而成为英雄。

　　The second season premiere is scheduled for a global launch around September–November 2017 in Europe, At a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, it was announced that the second season would have its North American release on Netflix in December 2017, with 13 episodes to be released. KidsClick will start airing season 2 of this show in the US starting 30 August 2018, marking the first time that Season 2 of this show airing on American over-the-air television. A third season is also in development. On 22 January 2018, Zag posted on Instagram that the crew was working on a fourth and fifth season. On 31 August premiered a new series with Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir which this time is in chibi style. On 5 September, 2018, Skydance Media has acquired the live-action film and live-action television rights.

　　荣获艾斯纳奖的作家和监制诺埃尔·史蒂文森（《夏令营奇遇记》、《妮莫娜》）和监制查克·奥斯汀（《疯狂原始人：欢乐登场》、《宇宙小子》）用现代视角加以演绎，把希瑞这位 20 世纪 80 年代标志性女英雄角色介绍给年轻新一代。
