 Reagon家族是纽约市有名的警察世家，一家几代人都在执法部门工作，有的还献出了生命。Frank Reagon（Tom Selleck）是纽约市警察局现任局长，也是Reagon家族的「掌门人」。他父亲Henry（Len Cariou）担任局长期间，曾因为政治上「处理失当 」而惹过不少麻烦－－偏偏这位老警官非常固执，对自己做过的任何事情都没有悔意。如今「父债子偿」，Frank在管理庞大的警员队伍的同时，还要不停弥补父亲当年遗留的「老大难」问题。

　　In the series “Catherine Season 4 Favorites,” the reign of the Great Empress of Russia, Catherine Alekseevna II, continues. The events take place in 1779, when the queen has been on the throne for seventeen years and has reached the peak of her greatness. 　　更换了制作人、调整了主线、移至竞争不甚激烈的周六档后，《地狱之轮》第三季收视和媒体评价明显好转：第三季的单集直播 三日回放平均收视为330万人，较第二季（240万）上涨37.5%，较第一季（300万）上涨10%，同时帮助AMC周六黄金档收视提升97%，全天收视提升152%。第三季《地狱之轮》是该剧收视最高的一季，亦是Metacritic和AVclub上媒体与编辑评价最高的一季，成为AMC继四届艾美奖最佳影集《广告狂人》、艾美奖最佳影集《绝命毒师》、艾美奖获奖作品《行尸走肉》和艾美奖提名影集《谋杀》后第五部媒体评分高于70分的作品，亦是继《谋杀》后AMC首部13集预定的作品。

　　Nina Arianda饰演Patty Solis-Papagian，一个口齿伶俐、纵横律政界多年的律师﹑Tania Raymonde将饰演Billy的老友Brittany Gold，他是一个法务秘书，同时也在晚上兼职警卫的工作。Maria Bello将扮演Bill的前妻Julie McBride，同样是一个聪明而且很成功的律师。
　　Dwight Yoakam饰演Wendell Corey，是一间航天公司的领导人，由Cooperman McBride, Borns Tech这间具实力的律师事务所为其辩护。Harold Perrineau则饰演法官Roston Keller。
