　　主人公Temperance Brennan博士，是一名法医人类学家，能根据受害者的尸骨找到常人难以发现的线索，因此结交搭档FBI探员Booth，与斜眼小分队的成员们一起研究腐烂尸骨背后的故事。共事者中有爱好昆虫和微生物研究的Hodgins，有能根据骨骸重塑被害人形象的"艺术家"Angela，有外表严厉却不乏幽默的上司Saroyan博士，还有可爱的心理医生小甜甜博士...
