《变形计》是湖南卫视继《超级女声》后重点研发的一档生活类角色互换节目，纪录片 真人秀模式的创新节目，号称“新生态纪录片”。这档节目结合当下社会热点，寻找热点中的当局人物，安排他们进行互换人生体验，参与节目的双方就在七天之中互换角色，体验对方的生活。节目同时全程每天24小时跟拍，粗加剪辑后原生态播出。 作为一档在社会热点中寻找题材的创新节目，《变形计》的社会意义不言而喻。节目关注时下热点新闻，挖掘新闻中带有社会普遍意义的内涵，通过精心设计的节目形式放大这些内涵，并谋求解决寻找某些热点问题的解决之道。比如《变形计》即将推出的第一个主题“网变”特辑，就是针对“网瘾少年”这一社会问题精心制作，希图籍此可以唤起人们对这一问题的关注，而后谋求对策。另外，心理学认为，体验是人们达到相互理解的最佳途径。《变形计》即禀承“换位思考”这一思维理念，而且更推至极致，在节目中，你不仅要站在对方立场去设想和理解对方，你还要去过对方的生活，真正体验对方世界的大小风云，品察对方思想最微妙的情绪触动。 “变形”主人公就在与相关对象的互换中，体验不同人生，达到改善关系、解决矛盾、收获教益的目的。《变形计 第一季》主持人：王姬、陆立
