Dom tells the story of Pedro, a handsome boy from Rio de Janeiro’s middle class who is introduced to cocaine in his teen years, putting him on the path to becoming the leader of a criminal gang that dominated the tabloids in Rio in the early 2000s: Pedro Dom. Shifting between action, adventure and drama, Dom also follows Pedro’s father Victor Dantas, who as a teenager, makes a discovery at the bottom of the sea, reports it to the authorities and ends up joining the police intelligence service. 　　Starring alongside Gabriel Leone and Flavio Tolezani are Filipe Bragança, Raquel Villar, Isabella Santoni, Ramon Francisco, Digão Ribeiro, Fabio Lago, Julia Konrad and André Mattos, among others. Dom is directed by Vicente Kubrusly and Breno Silveira, who also leads the writing team, which includes Fabio Mendes, Higia Ikeda, Carolina Neves and Marcelo Vindicatto. 　　

Sebastian pays tribute to a previous girlfriend, trying to produce the movie that she inspired him to write.  He enlists Natalia, an empathic producer and his right hand, to help produce the film for which they struggle to find funding.  Ultimately they decide to stage a play based on the script. Still hurting from his recent loss, Sebastian decides that he can’t start a new relationship. He goes in the opposite direction and takes irresponsible bachelorhood to the extreme. Success and fame open the door to encounters with all types of women who seem to fill the void that is becoming increasingly apparent in Sebastian’s life. Throughout this journey, Sebastian becomes even closer to Natalia.  She is his friend and partner but there is an undeniable romantic tension. Blinded by his career and newfound relevance, Sebastian loses touch with his romantic nature. After bottling up their feelings, during a night of drinking Sebastian and Natalia cross a line.  While Sebastian wonders if they made a mistake, Natalia feels ready for a relationship.

Mrs. Brown's Boys became a runaway success upon its initial broadcast. Every episode aired won its timeslot for RTÉ, with an average viewership of 753,500 in January, 2011. One episode's rating beat that of RTÉ's own ratings giant The Late Late Show, with 856,000 viewers tuning in to watch. However, critics disliked the show. "The whole thing is entirely predicated on viewers finding a man dressed as a foul-mouthed elderly woman intrinsically funny," noted Bernice Harrison in the Irish Times. "If you do, you’re away in a hack (and the viewing figures are astronomical), but if you don’t, and you think that died out with Les Dawson and Dick Emery, then it’s a long half-hour."  The Irish Independent said that Mrs Brown's Boys was the type of TV programme that "that makes you vaguely embarrassed to be Irish".  The Daily Telegraph's Sam Richards noted that show's comedy has a "rudimentary nature", consisting of "an old-fashioned blend of silly voices and slapstick, played out in front of a live studio audience who collapse into giggles at the mere mention of the word “willy”.
