Hostile ADA Richard Bay tries to prove the two were having an affair, when in fact their relationship was a lot more complicated than he could possibly imagine. Meanwhile, decapitator George Vogleman returns, asking for Ellenor's help when his co-op serves him with a eviction notice.

　　故事开始于墓地，Horatio Caine正在教堂向神父告解，外面传了一阵枪声...虽然破案，但也为季末做了铺垫。 本季加入了CSIer的一些故事，Eric Delko被牵涉到大麻事件中去，遭到了内务部的调查。Ryan Wolfe一次调查中被针子射伤了眼睛，影响了视力。Horatio Caine因为Eric的事情认识了他的姐姐Mari，最后还结为夫妻。而这一季的主线是实验室里出现了内奸，谁是内奸也搞得实验室里人心惶惶，而这内奸会在第25集里出现。 另外第25集也给下一季做了一个铺垫，因为第1集出现的黑帮向Horatio报仇，射杀了他的妻子，而因为FBI的介入，黑帮份子被押到了巴西，Horatio和Eric为了将他绳之于法，决定也随去。

　　In the series “Catherine Season 4 Favorites,” the reign of the Great Empress of Russia, Catherine Alekseevna II, continues. 　　本套剧集最初创意来自于恐怖片导演米克•加利斯（Mick Garris），2002年他和一众业内同好在加州共餐。席间他们相谈甚欢，惺惺相惜。在此之后，加利斯召集席间的10位导演以及其他恐怖流的高手相约共同打造一套恐怖片剧集。2005年，加利斯身兼制作人和导演两个职务，打造出每集1小时的“恐怖大师”系列（总共两季26集），唐•卡斯卡尔利、斯图尔特•戈登、三池崇史、约翰•麦克诺顿、鹤田法男等名声显赫的导演相继参与其中，联合为恐怖片爱好者奉上惊险刺激的恐怖盛宴。
　　本剧集荣获2006年艾美奖杰出主题音乐奖、2006年Sitges – Catalonian国际电影节最佳剧本和评委会特别奖。
