A dramedy that tells, with irony and humor, the adventures of Eliseo, the janitor of an upper class building, who, behind the back of the managing company that employs him, uses his position to surveil and be intimately acquainted with the building's tenants. The building is a universe whose ecosystem has specific dynamics and rules, and Eliseo knows them all by heart. There he lives, works and absorbs every detail of the life of its residents. However, underneath all his humility, he hides a talent for manipulating them. A facade of servility and sincerity is his most effective weapon he uses on them. His power is knowledge. He knows everything about his neighbors: their names, schedules, jobs, relationships, weaknesses, likes, etc. His mind registers everything that goes on in the complex. With this advantage over his "victims", he devises strategies to influence each tenant and can calculate precisely how they will react. This game of power over the neighbors is akin to playing cat and mouse. Depending on his whims, his mood or his need to protect his position at all costs, he is capable of causing wide ranging damage. He also dispenses justice and protects those he sees as weak. He is a God on his own turf.

This 7-year series chronicled the adventures of the Impossible Mission Taskforce (IMF), a team of government spies and specialists who were assigned "impossible missions" by the unseen "Secretary". Although the cast varied over the years, the main characters included The Team Leader (Dan Briggs the first season, then Jim Phelps the other six), The Techno-Wizard (Barney Collier), The Strongman (Willy Armitage), The Master of Disguise (first Rollin Hand, then The Amazing Paris), and The Femme Fatale (Cinnamon Carter, Casey, Dana Lambert, Mimi Davis). The series is best known for its opening mission assignment (conducted by a pre-recorded tape), the theme composed by Lalo Schifrin, the leader's selection of mission agents from a dossier, the opening briefing, the intricate use of disguises and a typical "mask pulloff" scene near the end of most episodes, and the relative lack of characterization of the characters.

This drama is set in a south Florida plastic surgery center, McNamara-Troy, centering around the two doctors who own it. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) is having problems at home, trying to keep his family together, trying to patch up the rocky road him and his wife Julia (Joely Richardson) are experiencing. On the other hand, sex-craved Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) uses his charm to bring in potential female candidates and conducts shady business deals, often for the love of money. While Sean takes his job seriously, he often has to fix Christian's mistakes. During the first season, Sean and Christian got mixed up with Escobar Gallardo, a Colombian drug lord who forced the two to do free surgery whenever he wanted them to. Sean's marriage with Julia began to wear thin, and Sean had an affair with a patient named Megan O'Hara. Julia went back to school, but it was interrupted by a miscarriage of a child Sean and Julia were trying to have. Christian learned he is the father of a baby with a woman named Gina, who he met at Sexaholics Anonymous. When the baby was born, we learn that the baby is African-American, and therefore not his.
