晚会以 湖南长沙铜官窑古镇为主场景，邀请何赛飞和王佩瑜担任 “新春赏戏人” ，以游园赏戏的形式共赏10场戏曲大秀并进行真人秀互动串联。晚会重点挖掘湘剧、祁剧、花鼓戏、湘昆、巴陵戏等湖南地方剧种魅力，兼顾大剧种特色，以戏歌、戏曲 相声、戏曲 文物、戏曲 民谣、戏曲 古诗 词等多种“戏曲 ”艺术创新形式，展现戏曲和文旅元素，打造一场有湖南韵味、有全国视野、有国际传播力的戏曲新春盛宴。
